BLACKPINK’s Lalisa Manobal, most famously known as Lisa, is setting social media on fire after her Coachella 2025 performance — and as for those tired of lip-syncing rumours? Left in the dust. Her powerhouse live vocals during soundcheck have become the viral moment of the festival, which also features other iconic pop stars, like Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott. Adding the cherry on top, Lisa’s fellow bandmate, Rosé, was also spotted grooving in the crowd, giving full-on fangirl energy as Lisa performed her latest solo track, Elastigirl.

Lisa, the powerhouse of BLACKPINK, has always been an extraordinary performer from her debut days. From Whistle to the HYLT (How You Like That), she has always stunned everyone with her visuals. Back in 2021, her number Lalisa marked the start of her solo career, and there’s been no looking back ever since.

Taking the stage solo, Lisa performed her brand-new track Elastigirl, a fierce, high-energy number packed with sharp choreography, slick visuals, and her signature mix of elegance and edge. Clad in a red-and-black bodysuit, Lisa commanded the stage with the precision of a pop veteran and the presence of a ‘born superstar’.
But the true jaw-dropper? Her live vocals.

During soundcheck, raw clips of Lisa belting out high notes quickly went viral, silencing long-standing whispers about lip-syncing in K-pop performances. No auto-tune, no back vocals, just Lisa, a mic, and a stadium full of stunned fans. Within hours, #Lisachella and #Thaiconiclisa were trending across X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and Instagram, as fans flooded timelines with admiration and awe. Lisa started to trend in the United States with over one million tweets.

The last time we saw Lisa at Coachella was with her girls Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose during their Born Pink tour. But last year all three members, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo, started their own solo companies, except Rose; she transferred herself into BlackLabel, which is a sub-label to YG Entertainment. This time Coachella will see two of the BLACKPINK members, but separately.
Jennie, fellow band member, to perform at Coachella 2025
Just like Lisa, fellow BLACKPINK star Jennie is already setting the internet ablaze with her own pre-performance buzz — ‘Jenniechella’ is officially loading. While fans will have to wait just a bit longer to catch her in action, the excitement is undeniable; Jennie is slated to take over the Coachella stage on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 7:45 PM to 8:35 PM PT.
Stirring the anticipation even further, Jennie recently dropped a sleek black-and-white photo dump on Instagram, and it’s giving major main character energy. One clip shows her deep in rehearsal mode, effortlessly dancing with her crew, while the words “D-3 TILL COACHELLA” flash across the screen — a simple, striking teaser of what’s to come. But the slide that’s got fans really talking, “Have you ever met Jennie?” And suddenly, everyone wants to.

BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl group to perform at Coachella in 2019. This 2019 performance resulted in their first sold-out concert in the US. In 2023, the girl band created history once again by becoming the first Korean act to headline the festival. “We’re so excited and honoured to be able to return to Coachella as headliners… We had the best time in 2019 and can’t wait to experience the energy of the audience again. There are some nerves, but more than anything, we’re just ready to have fun,” they said at the time.
