Megastar Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ box office collections are continuing to rise inexorably with audiences in multiplexes preferring to watch this ‘old’ movie rather than the newbies on offer and among them are Akshay Kumar’s ‘Baby’ (Read Movie Review) or the quaintly named ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ and more.

Now, for the fifth straight week, Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ is proving that good content is definitely king. ‘PK’ box office collections stood  at a commendable Rs 4.27 crore during the week gone by, taking its net collections in India to Rs 338 crore. Also read: ‘PK’ China box office collections

‘PK’ was rock steady in the fourth week, having collected Rs 12.5 crore.

According to trade website Koimoi, the Rajkumar Hirani directed film has made a total gross business of Rs 487 crore in India and with additional Rs 160 crore from the international market, ‘PK’ box office collections now stand at a massive Rs 647 crore gross worldwide.

This is over Rs 100 crore more than what had been achieved by the previous Bollywood mega hit ‘Dhoom 3’.

Overseas, ‘PK’ minted more than Rs 60 crore in the USA/Canada market alone, followed by Rs 29.26 crore in UAE/GCC and Rs 21.63 in the United Kingdom. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh termed the figures ‘awesome’.
