Aryan Khan is all pepped up to make his directorial debut with a series titled ‘Stardom’. Recently, he was spotted shooting on location in the bylanes of Mumbai. Khan’s directorial venture reportedly started recently, with paparazzi sharing videos of Aryan on set.
In one of the videos, Khan is seen directing a scene under tight security, while the production team uses large umbrellas to shield the set from online leaks. As per media reports, ‘Stardom’ is said to be set in the film world, featuring cameo appearances by real-life celebrities.
According to Bollywood Hungama, ‘Stardom’ will star Mona Singh in a pivotal role, with cameo appearances by Bollywood biggies SRK, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, and Bobby Deol. Lakshya Lalwani is rumored to play the lead, with Gautami Kapoor also part of the cast. It is pertinent to note that the series is reportedly produced under the SRK and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment banner and will stream on an OTT platform.
Khan’s foray into ad world
Before this, Aryan directed advertisements for his fashion label D’yavol X, starring his father Shah Rukh Khan, and sister Suhana Khan.
Reflecting on this creative experience, Khan told the media that both (SRK and Suhana) are creatively stimulating in different ways. As the creative director of the brand, I shoot the ads and oversee the photoshoots.
I’m very involved creatively, but not as much in logistics. As a director, I have to look into every detail, every shot, and every angle, he mentioned to GQ India.
SRK previously shared on a talk show that Aryan was not keen on pursuing acting and has a knack for writing. “He doesn’t have what it takes to be an actor, and he realizes that too, but he’s a good writer,” Shah Rukh had said, emphasising that the desire to act must come from within.
