As Bollywood gears up for one of the year’s most anticipated weddings, Anant Ambani’s marriage to Radhika Merchant, several stars have returned from their vacations to join the festivities. Celebrities like Siddharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, and Shah Rukh Khan are all set to attend the lavish celebrations in Mumbai. However, one notable absence will be Akshay Kumar, who has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
Kumar, whose new film Sarfira released on July 12, was promoting the movie when he began to feel unwell and decided to get tested. Unfortunately, the actor reportedly received a positive result, preventing him from attending the wedding.
A Memorable Performance at Pre-Wedding Festivities
During the pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, Akshay Kumar electrified the crowd with a vibrant performance. Dressed in traditional attire, he showcased his dance skills while singing the popular Punjabi track “Gur Naal Ishq Mitha,” with actor Ranveer Singh joining him for a brief moment, much to the delight of the audience.
The wedding celebrations for Anant and Radhika are set to span three days, with the pheras taking place today. An ‘aashirwad’ ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, followed by a grand reception on July 14.
