Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Baby’ box office collections continue steady run by collecting more than Rs 20 crore in the second week. Dominating the box office for two straight weeks, ‘Baby’ collections now stand at Rs 87.27 crore in domestic box office as the movie trains its guns on the Rs 100 crore mark.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has pegged Baby’s second week business at Rs 2.85 crore (Friday), Rs 3.99 crore (Saturday), Rs 5.81 crore (Sunday), Rs 2.20 crore (Monday), Rs 1.92 crore (Tuesday), Rs 1.94 crore (Wednesday), Rs 1.87 crore (Thursday) with a total of Rs 84.40 crore.

On the third weekend, ‘Baby’ box office collections have been Rs 1.31 crore (Friday) and Rs 1.56 cr (Saturday).

‘Baby’ box office collections had been Rs 63.82 crore in the opening week. The performance of the Akshay Kumar movie could be attributed to the dull performance of the new releases like ‘Khamoshiyan’ and ‘Hawaizaada’ and with Amitabh Bachchan-Dhanush starrer ‘Shamitabh’ starting on a low note, the action flick could just make it to the Rs 100 crore mark by the end of the third week.

Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Baby had an average opening with Rs 9.3 crore in box office collections.

‘Baby’ has already crossed the lifetime box office collections of 2014 release ‘Entertainment’, which made Rs 72.02 crore. But it remains to be seen whether the Neeraj Pandey-directed movie can mint more money than Akshay’s last year release ‘Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ (Rs 112.45 crore).
