It’s celebration time for actors and Ajay Devgn’s onscreen kids, Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth, who have announced the arrival of their second child, a baby girl. The couple shared the heartwarming news on Instagram, and treated fans to an intimate moment captured in the hospital, featuring Ishita, Vatsal, and their newborn daughter. Their elder son, Vaayu, who was born in 2023, will celebrate his second birthday this July.
Ishita, best known for her role in Drishyam as Ajay Devgn’s daughter, shared the photo along with a touching caption:
“From two to four hearts beating as one. Our family is now complete. Blessed with a baby girl.”

The couple had previously hinted at their growing family earlier this year. In a February interview, Vatsal confirmed Ishita’s pregnancy, sharing his anticipation and sense of responsibility as a father for the second time.
“As parents, we have discussed how to go about it as the second pregnancy will surely be quite different from the first,” he said. “As a father, I will take care of my son and my wife, who needs special attention. Once the baby arrives, I will take care of Vayu, and Ishita will be with our new angel.”
Recalling the moment he learned he would be a father again, Vatsal shared the emotional experience. “It came as a surprise, a very-very happy surprise. When Ishita told me about the pregnancy, I was like ‘Oh! Wow.’ Samajh nahin aa raha tha. It was such big news for me as a father and once it registered, I was joyful.”
Throughout her pregnancy, Ishita kept her fans involved in the journey. One particularly cherished moment was when she posted pictures from her Shaadh ceremony, a traditional Bengali ritual held to bless the unborn baby. The images showed her alongside little Vaayu, with a caption that read, “Shaadh, celebrating the little life within, a bit early this time, because some moments can’t wait… P.S. Vaayu couldn’t wait to dig into all the yummy food.”
Before stepping away for maternity leave, Ishita completed filming for an upcoming project. She is also expected to reprise her role in the much-anticipated Drishyam 3, alongside co-stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Shriya Saran.
The love story of Ishita and Vatsal began on the sets of Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar in 2016. A year later, the couple tied the knot and embraced parenthood.
