Brad Pitt‘s F1: The Movie first reviews predicted well ahead in time the racing drama was “poised to dominate the summer blockbuster track,” and so it has. Racing past milestones of all sorts and even beating Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, the sports flick climbed to top as Apple’s highest-grossing movie by generating $293 million at the global box office after just 10 days of release.

As of July 9, the Formula One big-screen spectacle, co-starring Damson Idris, has surpassed the $300 million mark in global box office earnings, as per The Numbers, a database of movie financial information. Regardless of how big of a treat F1 has been for Brad Pitt professionally, his personal life still sounds cries for help as he continues to remain entangled in an ugly legal battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, nearly 9 years since they announced their separation.

Brad Pitt vs Angelina Jolie continues

Although the former couple finally settled their divorce last year, they continue to stay embroiled in their other years-long legal war over their winery, Chateau Miraval. Pushing his case ahead, the F1 star filed a motion demanding all of Angelina’s private communications associated with the sale of French wine business’ stake.

Pitt has long accused his ex-wife of selling her shares of the winery to intentionally “inflict harm on” him. A June 30 filing obtained by People further showed that he was seeking to depose Russian oligarch Alexey Oliynik of Stoli Group, who Brad believes is privy to the business deal.

While he continues to make moves on this front, other reports maintain that he’s hurting inside, given how his explosive divorce battle with Jolie even resulted in their six children seemingly distancing themselves from him. A source close to the 61-year-old Hollywood leading man spilled to the Daily Mail that he is still hopeful he can “make amends” with the youngest twins Knox and Vivienne, as many Jolie-Pitt kids have already dropped their father’s last name.

With the teens’ birthday this weekend, the source claimed that Pitt desperately wanted to reunite with them one way or another, “praying” he will be given “another chance” to connect with them despite all that has happened.

Even though the insider suggested that Brad hadn’t heard back from the twins or their reps, he “desperate to give it one final shot to get together with them and make amends, even though he knows the chance they’ll agree to spend time with him is remote to say the least.”

Vivienne already appears to have erased the ‘Pitt’ bit from her name, as reflected by the musical The Outsiders’ Playbill that listed her as “Vivienne Jolie” instead of “Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.” On the contrary, her brother Knox has “kept Jolie-Pitt as his surname,” which Pitt reportedly envisions as a “glimmer of hope.”

Another source established that the actor knew deep down that he and Angelina will forever be “at odds.” However, he hasn’t given up on having relationships with his children because he is “a family man,” and what he shared with Jolie and the kids is still “very important to his life.”

“There is a bond that parents have with their kids, and Brad would be very happy to have them all back in the fold of his life,” the insider added.
