Actor Saif Ali Khan reportedly sustained injuries during a robbery attempt at his Bandra (West) residence in the early hours of Thursday. The incident reportedly occurred around 2:30 am when an intruder broke into the house and allegedly attacked the actor with a sharp object. Khan is currently admitted to the Lilavati Hospital.
“An unknown person entered Actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence and argued with his maid, late last night. When the actor tried to intervene and pacify the man, he attacked Saif Ali Khan and injured him. Police are investigating the matter,” ANI quoted Mumbai Police as saying.
As per a statement by the hospital’s CEO, the actor was admitted at 3-3:30 am with six injuries, with one of the injuries being very close to his spine. According to initial reports, Khan was asleep at the time, along with other family members. The commotion awakened the occupants, prompting the intruder to flee the scene.

The Bandra police have launched an investigation and are in the process of registering an FIR. Multiple police teams have been deployed to track down the culprit.
