South Korean comedian Shin Dong Yup, actors Chae Won Bin and Heo Nam Jun (or Heo Nam Joon) co-hosted the 2025 SBS Drama Awards on Wednesday, December 31. Beckoning a new era of K-dramas on the final day of the year, the annual ceremony was held at the SBS Prism Tower in Seoul.
Even before the main show kicked off, the Taxi Driver 3 cast members Lee Je Hoon, Pyo Ye Jin, Kim Eui Sun, Jang Hyuk Jin and Bae Yoo Ram stole fans’ hearts on the red carpet. Stepping out together as a close-knit unit, the ongoing drama’s co-stars was all hardcore Hallyu Wave enthusiasts could talk about.
Another highlight of the night was how the SBS Drama Awards ended up awarding eight actors the Best Newcomer title. In light of the unexpected development at hand, even the recipients’ bewildered reactions were caught on camera. Fans instantly took to their social media to express their dumbfounded responses.
Many had originally believed that all actors asked to the stage were merely nominees. No one had expected them all to be the winners of the Rookie of the Year category.
