After a long streak of annual, year-end South Korean music and K-drama shows, the 2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon will wrap up all affairs on the final day of the year. Kicking off the new year on a musical high, the music festival broadcast by the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is set to be hosted by SHINee’s Minho, ALLDAY PROJECT’s Annie and Hwang Minhyun.

Last seen on South Korean TV screens as Yoon Ga Min in the 2025 web series Study Group, actor-singer Hwang Minhyun is all set to make his big comeback in the entertainment industry following his mandatory military stint. This marks his first big-stage appearance after he got discharged from his duties as a social service worker earlier this month.

This year’s MBC Music Festival will make way for numerous K-pop crossovers and special stages, allowing members from different groups to join hands for collaboration that otherwise may remain in fans’ dream wish lists.

Here’s everything you need to know about the MBC Gayo Daejejeon celebrations ready to bring the year to a massive finale.

When and where to watch MBC Gayo Daejejeon 2025?

As far as official live streaming options go, the ‘Global K-POP Universe,’ MUNIVERSE was settled on as the exclusive streaming partner this year. While this is a paid streaming option, through this officials plan on donating a portion of ticket to the Red Tree Project for children in Nepal.

Generally, red carpet events for such Song Festivals are free to watch on the network’s official YouTube channels. If that still stands, fans may be able to view the initial event on the MBCkpop YouTube channel.

The main music festival ceremony is scheduled to be broadcast on Wednesday, December 31, at 8:50 pm KST (5:20 pm IST).
