SSC GD Constable Exam 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is scheduled to administer the SSC GD 2024 Exam spanning from February 20, 2024, to March 7, 2024. With a total of 26,146 vacancies for SSC GD Constable positions, the commission aims to recruit suitable candidates for roles in various paramilitary forces and law enforcement agencies, including BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, NIA, and the role of riflemen in Assam Rifles (AR).
This is the first time that the exam will be held in 13 regional languages apart from English and Hindi. The exam will be conducted in 128 cities across India, The Indian Express reported.
The SSC GD 2024 examination will be conducted by the Commission in four phases, comprising a computer-based test (CBT), a physical efficiency test (PET), a physical standard test (PST), and concluding with a medical examination.
The Staff Selection Commission has issued the SSC GD Admit Card 2024 for the North West Region. Admit cards for the remaining regions will be released soon on the official website. Additionally, the commission has already enabled the application status link for certain candidates.
SSC GD Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility criteria for SSC GD Constable necessitates candidates to have passed Matriculation or Class 10th from a recognised board. Additionally, candidates with a 12th marksheet, undergraduate, or postgraduate degree are also eligible to apply for the SSC GD exam. It is mandatory for candidates to possess an original mark sheet/degree during the document verification process.
The age limit for SSC GD is between 18 and 23 years old. However, there is an age relaxation for reserved candidates in the SSC GD Constable exam 2024. Candidates belonging to the OBC and SC categories are granted an age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years, respectively.
Application process and fee
Prospective candidates aiming to take the SSC GD examination for the year 2023-24 must access the official SSC website to apply for the Constable GD Examination. The application fee for SSC GD is Rs 100 for candidates belonging to the Unreserved Category. However, women candidates and individuals from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) categories eligible for reservation are exempted from paying the application fee.
