CBSE Private Candidate 2024 Registration: The Central Board of Secondary Education will be closing the registration for class 10 and class 12 for private candidates today October 18, 2023.

The submission of registrations of the candidates who are eligible to appear for the 2023-24 board exams can be done through the official website of the CBSE at cbse.gov.in.

The applications by the candidates can be submitted after October 18 along with a late fee. The extension on the applications is till October 25, 2023.

The CBSE 2024 examination for private candidates is tentatively scheduled in between the months of February and April. This examination will be held along with the main examination for regular candidates.

Students who have to reappear or were placed in compartment in the previous attempt, along with the students who have failed or have to repeat, from 2018 to 2022 are also eligible to apply.

Students who want to enhance their score in one or more subjects and have graduated in 2022 or 2023 can also appear for the exam as they are also eligible to apply.

Steps to Register for the CBSE Exams in 2024

To register for the CBSE exams 2024, one can follow the below given steps:

  • Visit the CBSE official website – cbse.gov.in
  • Click on the link specifically designated for private candidates
  • Look for relevant application link and fill out the details
  • Submit the fee and save the filled application form
  • Submit the application form to complete registration for CBSE exams

CBSE Board Exam 2023: Registration fees for the CBSE Board Exams in 2024

There is an application fee of Rs 1500 and for those who applying for additional subjects will have to include an additional fee of Rs 300 per subject.

It is to be noted that a private candidate is the one who has not attended school on a regular term. Private candidates are eligible to appear for Class 10 and Class 12 exams.

The criteria for the eligibility of a private candidate in CBSE is as follows:

  • Candidate should meet the required age for the exam
  • Candidate should have cleared previous class exam from a recognized school
  • The candidate should not be enrolled in a regular school during the exam period.

The examination pattern and questions are the same for private candidates as it is for regular candidates. There is no difference in the schedule and syllabus for both kinds of candidates.

A certificate from the CBSE board will be issued to the private candidates when they clear their exam. However, the certificate will have no mention of the candidate being a private student.
