The University of Lincoln is now accepting applications for the MSc Analytical Sciences programme for the academic year 2024-25. This specialised course aims to equip science graduates and related fields with comprehensive training in the modern techniques of analytical science. The programme aims to nurture practical skills essential for specialised career opportunities in areas such as pharmaceuticals, forensics, archaeology and environmental analysis, according to an official release.
For international applicants, the application deadline is set for January 2024. To be eligible, students must meet the academic entry criteria. This entails holding a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution. A minimum of a second-class honours degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline (e.g., Biosciences, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Forensic Science, Geology, Geography, Environmental Science, Archaeological Science) or equivalent substantial experience is required. Applicants should also have a minimum score of 50% or a 5.5 CGPA, the release mentioned.
Moreover, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the English language equivalent to an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each element. In cases where applicants do not meet these IELTS requirements, they may participate in one of the University of Lincoln’s Pre-session English and Academic Study Skills courses, it added.
For Indian students starting in 2024, the tuition fees are £17,600. The University also provides various scholarships and funded studentships for individuals interested in pursuing postgraduate studies, as per the release.
