Shankh Air, set to become Uttar Pradesh’s first scheduled airline, is advancing its launch preparations and awaits final NOC from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Recently, Chairman Sharvan Kumar Vishwakarma held a crucial meeting with Minister of Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu to discuss the airline’s strategic direction as a Full-Service Start-Up Airline.
Shankh Air plans to establish its main hub at Noida International Airport, a significant move aimed at enhancing national and regional connectivity. It will initially connect Noida with upcoming airports like Bhogapuram, Pune International, and later Navi Mumbai International Airport. The airline intends to operate Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, offering dual-class full-service amenities.
The focus will be on connecting major cities within and beyond Uttar Pradesh, emphasizing competitive pricing and exceptional customer service. Initial routes will include key destinations in Uttar Pradesh such as Lucknow, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur, with operations slated to commence by year’s end.
