The eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) is set to take place in January, with registrations already underway, according to officials from the Union Education Ministry.
“PPC is designed to alleviate examination stress and inspire students, teachers, and parents to embrace life as an ‘utsav’ (celebration). Over the past seven years, it has been a remarkable success,” the ministry stated. Registrations for the 2025 edition are open on MyGov.in and will continue until January 14.
Pariksha Pe Charcha is an annual event where Prime Minister Narendra Modi engages with students preparing for board examinations, addressing their questions and concerns about exam-related stress and other challenges. The initiative debuted on February 16, 2018, at the Talkatora Stadium. The seventh edition was hosted in a town hall format at the Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, drawing participants from India and abroad.
To generate enthusiasm ahead of the main event, a series of activities are planned from January 12, 2025 (National Youth Day), to January 23, 2025 (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti). These include traditional game sessions, marathon runs, meme competitions, street plays (nukkad-nataks), yoga and meditation sessions, performances by CBSE, KVS, and NVS students, poster-making competitions, mental health workshops, and screenings of inspirational films.
