The results of the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2025 will be declared today. Once released, candidates can check their scores on the official website — nestexam.in.

The NEST exam is the gateway to admission into the prestigious National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS).

This year’s entrance test was conducted on June 22, and the window to raise objections to the answer key was open from June 25 to 26.

How to check NEST 2025 result

Once the results are out, here’s how candidates can access them:

  1. Visit the official website: nestexam.in
  2. Click on the “NEST 2025 Result” link on the homepage.
  3. Log in using your credentials.
  4. Submit the details to view your result.

Eligibility criteria for admission

To be eligible for admission to the Integrated M.Sc. programme at NISER or UM-DAE CEBS, candidates must meet the following conditions:

  • They should have passed Class 12 or equivalent in 2023 or 2024. Those appearing for the exam in 2025 are also eligible.
  • A minimum of 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) in Class 12 from any recognised board is required. For SC, ST, and Divyangjan candidates, the minimum qualifying mark is 55%.
  • Candidates must secure a rank in the NEST 2025 merit list.

There is no upper age limit for appearing in the exam or for admission, as long as all eligibility conditions are satisfied.
