The Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department has resumed the online registration process for admission to First Year Junior College (FYJC) for the academic year 2025. This year marks a significant change as, for the first time, the entire admission process is being conducted through a centralised online portal — mahafyjcadmissions.in.

The admission process is being held for over 20 lakh seats across 9,281 junior colleges throughout the state. Online registration initially began on May 21, but was temporarily halted due to a website crash. The schedule has since been revised, and the process is now underway once again.

As per the revised schedule, the provisional general merit list will be released on June 5. Students will then have the opportunity to raise objections or submit correction requests between June 6 and 7. The final general merit list will be published on June 8.
