The most-awaited JEE Mains results are out today on February 13 with 23 students securing a perfect 100 score in Session 1 exam conducted on January 24, 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. Majority of the students are from Telangana. More than 11.70 lakhs candidates took the JEE Main first edition exam this year.

Among those who achieved perfect NTA scores of 100, seven are from Telangana, two from Haryana, three each from Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra, and two from Delhi. Additionally, one candidate each hails from Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. NTA officials clarify that the NTA score differs from the percentage of marks obtained because it’s a normalized score.

The JEE Main 2024 session 1 was held in 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The exam took place overseas in various locations including Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos/Abuja, Colombo, Jakarta, Moscow, Ottawa, Port Louis, Bangkok, and Washington D.C. Notably, it was the first time the exam was conducted in Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, and Oslo.

Following the initial edition held in January-February, the second edition of the exam is scheduled for April. Candidates’ performance in both JEE-Mains Paper 1 and Paper 2 will determine their selection to proceed to the JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced serves as a gateway for admission to the 23 prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
