India Post has announced the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) January Merit List 2025 on March 21. The list of shortlisted candidates has been released for 22 states, and registered applicants can now check their selection status on the official website — indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
The merit list includes candidates shortlisted from Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, and other northeastern states.
How to check India post GDS merit list 2025
- Visit indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
- Click on the India Post GDS Merit List link on the homepage.
- A new window will open displaying state-wise merit list PDFs.
- Select the state you applied from and open the respective PDF.
- Check your name in the list and download it for reference.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 21,413 vacancies for Gramin Dak Sevak posts across India.
Shortlisting has been done based on a system-generated merit list, prepared using marks obtained in the Class 10 board examination. Final selection is subject to physical verification of original documents, conducted by the Divisional or Unit Head of the respective postal division.
As per the official notification, all shortlisted candidates must complete document verification by April 7, 2025. They are required to report to the respective Divisional Head mentioned in the list, along with their original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies.
