CTET 2024 Exam: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the admit cards for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on July 5, 2024. Candidates who registered for the exam can download their admit cards from the official website, ctet.nic.in, starting at 10 AM, according to a CBSE official quoted by indianexpress.com. The CTET 2024 exam is scheduled to take place on July 7.

To download the admit card, candidates need to enter their application number, password, and security pin. Additionally, the CTET city intimation slip has been made available on the same website.

Steps to download CTET 2024 Admit Card:

  1. Visit the official website – ctet.nic.in
  2. Click on the “Download Admit Card” link on the homepage.
  3. Log in using the required credentials.
  4. The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Download and print the admit card for future reference.

Exam details:

The CTET 2024 will be conducted in over 136 cities across India in more than 20 languages. The exam is held twice a year, in January and July. The January session exam was conducted on January 21, with the results declared on February 15.

Exam pattern: The CTET exam consists of two papers

Paper 1: For candidates aspiring to teach classes 1 to 5. It includes five compulsory sections with 30 questions each:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy
  • Mathematics
  • Environmental Studies
  • Language 1
  • Language 2

Paper 2: For candidates aspiring to teach classes 6 to 8. It includes four sections, three of which are compulsory with 30 questions each:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy
  • Language 1
  • Language 2 The fourth section varies based on the subject the candidate intends to teach:
  • Social Studies/Social Science teachers will answer 60 questions on Social Studies/Social Science.
  • Mathematics and Science teachers will answer 60 questions on Mathematics and Science.

Both papers are of 150 marks each, with one mark awarded for each correct answer and no negative marking.According to the information brochure, the results for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are expected to be declared by the end of August.
