Centurion University hosted S Suresh Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary, to Govt. (FAC) and Commissioner of School Education, Skill Development and Training Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, along with a team of officials, to its Jatni campus. The visit was aimed at understanding the vision, strategies and practices adopted by Centurion University in imparting skills, following the esteemed request of Sri Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, seeking collaboration for the proposed Skill University of Andhra Pradesh, as per the press release.
Suresh Kumar expressed his appreciation for the institution’s innovative approach to skill development and its commitment to aligning courses with practical skills. The discussions primarily centered around the establishment of a skill university and the integration of skills into university courses.
During his stay, Kumar was accompanied by a team of staff members from his office, enhancing the depth of the collaborative engagement. Additionally, three officers from the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) – Deputy Director, District Education Officer (DEO) and Junior Education Officer (JEO) – were actively involved in the fruitful discussions.
Centurion University aims to add value in its expertise to the proposed Skill University of Andhra Pradesh and looks forward to a continued partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh in advancing skill development initiatives.
