The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a clarification refuting baseless claims about the Class 10 and 12 board exams for 2025. The annual examinations, which began on February 15, are set to conclude on April 4.

In an official notification, CBSE cautioned against ‘unscrupulous elements’ spreading misinformation on social media regarding paper leaks or alleged access to examination papers. The Board emphasized that these claims are entirely false and aimed at causing unnecessary panic among students and parents.

“Certain individuals are circulating rumours on YouTube, Facebook, `X’ (formerly Twitter), and other social media platforms about paper leaks or access to the 2025 examination question papers. These claims have no basis in reality and are meant to create unwarranted anxiety,” the notification stated.

To combat the spread of misinformation, CBSE is working closely with law enforcement agencies to identify and take action against those responsible. Offenders will face strict consequences under CBSE’s Unfair Means rules and relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The Board also urged parents to avoid engaging with or believing in unverified information, as it disrupts the examination process. It advised students, parents, and schools to rely solely on official CBSE communications and verified public channels for accurate updates.
