BPSC news: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) competitive examination that was scheduled to be held from January 10 to January 16, 2026. The commission cited “unavoidable reasons” for deferring the exam and said revised dates will be announced later.

The postponement was first communicated through BPSC’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle and later confirmed through a formal notice. The exam schedule had been announced on December 27, leaving aspirants with little time to adjust to the sudden change.

“The written examination for Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) under Advertisement No. 87/2025, scheduled to be held from 10.01.2026 to 16.01.2026 (excluding 14.01.2026), is postponed due to unavoidable reasons,” a tweet from BPSC read. “The date for the rescheduling of the said examination will be announced on the commission’s website.”

Exam was planned across Bihar in multiple phases

According to the earlier notification, the AEDO examination was to be conducted in three phases across examination centres located in districts throughout Bihar. Candidates were allotted different exam dates between January 10 and January 16, excluding January 14.

With the postponement now in effect, BPSC has advised candidates to regularly visit its official website for updates regarding the revised schedule and other examination-related announcements.
