New weather patterns are set to progress in the upcoming weeks across the country. The India meteorological Department (IMD) in its latest weather bulletin has projected moderate to light rainfall along with gusty winds and thunderstorms to take place over Central India today and will go on till 12th April .

In Delhi region, IMD has predicted to have partly cloudy sky with possibility of very light or little rain. Hailstorms happened at isolated places of Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh. Gusty winds were also there in isolated areas of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

IMD’S Forecast and Warnings:

A cyclonic circulation is positioned over southwest Rajasthan, with a trough extending from this system to Coastal Karnataka, while another cyclonic circulation is present over east Bihar in the lower tropospheric levels. These weather features are expected to influence the following conditions:

From today till 13th of April, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall is likely, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Madhya Maharashtra. Squally winds with speeds reaching 50-60 kmph, gusting up to 70 kmph, are anticipated at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh today and tomorrow.

During the same period, isolated light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is expected over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Over the next seven days, isolated light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph), is very likely over Telangana, Kerala, Mahe, and Interior Karnataka.

Hailstorm activity is also anticipated at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Marathwada on the 11th and 12th of April.

Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall/snowfall, with isolated thunderstorms and lightning, is anticipated over Arunachal Pradesh. Isolated light to moderate rainfall, along with isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, is expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during the next seven days.

Temperature to Watch:

There is no notable change in maximum temperatures expected over Northwest India during the next 48 hours, with a gradual fall by 3-5°C thereafter. Similarly, no major change in maximum temperatures is anticipated over Central & East India during the next three days, followed by a gradual rise by 2-4°C over the subsequent three days.

Hot and humid weather is very likely to continue over Kerala & Mahe from today and will continue till 15th April . This weather condition will prevail over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Coastal Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu today.
