The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a series of weather conditions over different regions of India. As per IMD, light to moderate rainfall along with gusty winds, hailstorms and thunderstorms is expected over Central India today.

A hot weather pattern was seen in some areas of Tamil Nadu. In other places like Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana, there were hailstorms. In Chhattisgarh, there was light to moderate rain with thunderstorms. This also happened in parts of East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Arunachal Pradesh, and a few other regions.

IMD’s Forecast and Warnings:

A cyclonic circulation is likely to take place over central parts of Madhya Maharashtra and another one stretching from north Gujarat to south Tamil Nadu. Because of this, there will be scattered rain with thunderstorms in some areas like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha from today to April 13th.

From April 10th to April 13th, there will be some rain and thunderstorms in places like Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

A weather disturbance called a Western Disturbance is expected to affect Northwest India from April 12th. Some areas like Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand may see light rain or snow from April 10th to April 12th.

Temperature To Watch:

Today, temperatures are higher than usual in certain areas like Kerala & Mahe, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, West Rajasthan, and west Assam. Over the next 5 days, temperatures in East India are expected to gradually increase by about 3-5°C.

In isolated pockets of Saurashtra and Kutch there can be heat weather conditions from today and will be there till tomorrow. Hot and humid weather is expected to prevail in Mahe and Kerala from April 10th to April 11th.
