The India Meteorological Department in its latest weather forecast informed that heavy rainfall is expected to occur across Western India over the next four days. The Met Department also informed that the Southwest Monsoon is expected to make headway into additional regions of the North Arabian Sea, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Gujarat. It will likely cover Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh in the next 2-3 days, IMD added.

IMD’s forecast for heavy rainfall

A cyclonic circulation has been identified by the Weather Department over South Gujarat in the lower and middle tropospheric levels. One more channel extends from this circulation to Jharkhand at lower levels. As a result of these weather conditions, isolated heavy rainfall is anticipated in Madhya Maharashtra, Goa, Konkan, and Karnataka for a couple of days. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, South Interior Karnataka, and Coastal Karnataka are likely to experience a wet spell From June 25 to June 26.

The Gujarat region is to receive heavy rainfall today (June 25), Kutch and Saurashtra will have it on June 25 and June 26.  South Interior Karnataka, Mahe, Kerala, and Coastal Karnataka might get it from June 27 to June 28. Coastal Andhra Pradesh will also experience a similar weather pattern from June 25 to June 27 whereas North Interior Karnataka is likely to get heavy downpours from June 25 to June 28.

Additionally, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are also forecast to have heavy rainfall on June 25 and June 26, Bihar will experience it from June 25 to June 28. Vidarbha and West Madhya Pradesh are likely to get drenched with heavy rainfall on June 27 and June 28 while Chhattisgarh might get it from June 26 and June 28 and East Madhya Pradesh will see the same weather conditions from June 25 to June 28.

Heatwave condition warning:

Bihar, West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana are expected to sizzle on June 25. Heatwave conditions will be there in West Rajasthan from June 25 to June 27. A subsequent decline in the hot weather conditions is expected thereafter.
