Now, we have shifted to a summer management diet, which includes a more liquid diet as well as all the seasonal fruits and vegetables which contain more water. We are giving cold water to the animals to drink. In their visitor area, all the sprinklers, water ponds have already been repaired and running water has been provided. Coolers have been provided at all the night shelters. The gates have been opened from 12-3 pm...We are releasing animals in batches so that all animals are not overexposed to heat. We are fully prepared with all the life-saving and emergency medicines...For the visitors, we have provided free drinking water with a chiller at various water points. A 40-year-old man from Bihar's Darbhanga has died of heat stroke at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital. Employed at a factory manufacturing pipeline fittings, the man was brought to the hospital by his roommate and other factory workers around an hour past midnight on Monday, according to a report by the Indian Express.

Doctors reported that his body temperature had soared above 107 degrees Fahrenheit. It was noted that he was living in a room without a cooler or fan and had developed a very high fever prior to his death. (Read More)
