Delhi Police said legal action was being taken against the organisers and the area has been sealed. “A giant wheel swing malfunctioned and got jammed due to mechanical failure. There was a technical glitch as two trollies tilted towards one side and the wheel stopped spinning. Some people were stranded. Everyone was safely rescued with the help of swing operators and firemen,” DCP (Outernorth) Ravi Kumar Singh told The Indian Express.
A case has been lodged under sections of negligence with respect to machinery, and a letter has been sent to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to initiate action.
