In the current electoral race, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has surged ahead with a substantial lead of 1,017,382 votes. His commanding margin places him significantly ahead of his closest competitor, Pratapbhanu Sharma from the Indian National Congress (INC), who trails behind with 266,420 votes. The notable difference of 750,962 votes underscores Chouhan's strong position in the contest, reflecting the widespread support he has garnered from voters for the BJP.
In the ongoing electoral battle, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of the Bharatiya Janata Party has established a commanding lead with an impressive tally of 906,605 votes. His significant margin places him well ahead of his closest competitor, Pratapbhanu Sharma of the Indian National Congress, who trails behind with 235,010 votes. For vote counting day, 18 companies of central forces, 45 companies of Special Armed Forces (SAF), and 10,000 personnel from district security forces have been deployed. The postal ballots have been transported to the counting centers since 3 pm on Monday, accompanied by authorized representatives of political parties. "The ballots from service voters will be accepted at the counting centers until 8 am on Tuesday, with special passes issued to postal department employees for this purpose. A total of 37,573 service votes have been received by the concerned district returning officers. Additionally, the home voting facility was utilized by 35,211 individuals above 85 years of age and 12,816 Divyangjan (persons with disabilities)," the State's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said.

If there are no postal ballot papers in the constituency, the counting of votes from EVMs can begin at the scheduled time.
