Four people, including the driver and conductor of a Himachal Pradesh Road and Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus, died after the vehicle plunged into a gorge in Shimla district on Friday.
The accident occurred around 6:45 AM in the Kenchi area of Jubbal as the bus was travelling to Kuddu-Diltari in Rohru.
According to Rohan Chand Thakur, Managing Director of HRTC, the bus overturned on the road with a total of five passengers on board in addition to the driver and conductor.
Three injured individuals were rushed to a local hospital in Rohru.
Two passengers were killed on the spot, while the driver and conductor succumbed to their injuries en route to the hospital.
The deceased were identified as Karam Dass (driver), Rakesh Kumar (conductor), Birma Devi, and Dhan Shah of Nepal.
The injured were named as Jiyender Rangta, Deepika, and Hast Bahadur.
