A 45-year-old son of a Shiv Sena (UBT) leader died of a heart attack during an argument with an autorickshaw driver in Vasai, Palghar district, police said on Monday.

The victim, Milind More, son of Raghunath More, former Thane district chief of the undivided Shiv Sena, was involved in an argument with the driver when he suffered a fatal heart attack, PTI reported.

The incident took place late on Sunday evening when he was at a resort in Navapur along with his family, officials said. “While moving out of the resort, he had an argument with a rickshaw driver, during which he collapsed and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors there declared him dead on arrival and opined heart attack as the prima facie cause,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Jayant Bajbale said.

Based on a complaint from Milind More’s relatives, a case was registered under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against the unidentified person, according to the DCP.

Party functionaries mentioned that Milind More was the deputy chief of the Thane unit of the Shiv Sena (UBT).
