Varanasi bound Indigo flight got a bomb threat, all passengers were evacuated through the emergency door, according to Delhi Fire Services. The aircraft has been sent to the isolation bay for further investigation. According to the Airport official as told to ANI, Aviation security, the bomb team, and the Quick Response Team are currently present on the site.
Indigo flight number 6E2211 got a bomb threat at 5:35 am today. The Indigo crew found a tissue paper on which it was written ”bomb” in the lavatory, as per aircraft officials. As per the latest development, all passengers are safe, reported Delhi Authority officials.
”A tissue paper, with the word ‘bomb’ mentioned on it, was found in the Indigo flight 6E2211 lavatory from Delhi to Varanasi at Delhi Airport, security agencies immediately conducted an inspection but it turned out to be a hoax”, a senior official told ANI.
Nothing suspicious has been yet found in the inspection, as stated by officials. A total of 176 passengers were taken out from the flight through emergency window. As soon the completion of inspection will get over, the aircraft will send back to the terminal area.
