In a first, the newly elected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath conducted surprise checks at various offices of state’s capital, Lucknow. Introducing a new style of governance, the UP CM paid visits to Hazratganj police station, crime branch and cyber cell. This step was taken to make sure that governance in these offices is in the right place. After visiting the Hazratganj police station, he also went to the office of Superintendent of police from West UP for a surprise inspection. Speaking to the media after coming out, he said this isn’t the last surprise visit from his side.

Improving the law and order situation in the state has been high on agenda for the Bharatiya Janata Party and this is the exact message given by Yogi Adityanath through his visits. He asked the police officers not to take the law and order situation lightly.

This isn’t the first surprise from the newly elected CM and after a meeting two days ago, he asked UP Government officials to submit details of their movable and immovable properties and income tax within a time period of 15 days.  Deputy Chief Ministers KP Maurya and Dinesh Sharma were also present at the meeting. Maurya also confirmed that Yogi Adityanath advised against the use of pan masala, plastic and pan in government buildings and offices.

Adityanath’s wrath started when he asked the police officials to prepare an action plan for closure of other slaughterhouses in the state. Taking his work one step ahead, he ordered a blanket ban on smuggling of cows. During its political campaign, BJP mentioned this many times and in a rally addressed in Maharajganj, party vowed to shut illegal slaughter houses in the state.
