A 20-year-old student preparing for the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) exams died after collapsing in his coaching class in Indore.
The student has been identified as Raja Lodhi, a resident of Sagar district. CCTV footage of the classroom captured the entire incident.
The video shows the student, in a black shirt, initially seems fine and focused on his studies among dozens of students. Suddenly, as the video shows, he begins clutching his chest, expressing visible distress. Within seconds, he loses his balance and falls from his chair.
He was reportedly struck by sudden chest pain and fell unconscious moments later.
Alarmed students all around realise there is a medical emergency and rush to help. Madhav was taken to a nearby private hospital but was declared dead.
Lodhi’s death marks the fourth such incident in Indore recently, prompting concerns about a possible pattern of ‘silent heart attacks’ among young citizens. The exact cause of the student’s death is yet to be ascertained.
