The newly built complex is spread over five lakh square feet across 3.75 acre premises. This newly constructed office consists of 13 storey and has around 300 rooms and offices. The reconstruction has been made with an estimated Rs 150 crore and over 75,000 supporters have made contributions for the renovation.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale will be attending a ”karyakarta sammelan” on February 19 to officially mark the organisation’s return to the new high-rise office.
Inside the newly renovated space
The new RSS headquarters has been designed by Gujarat-based architect Anup Dave and has been built by utilising cutting-edge technology and ancient architectural elements. The three towers named Sadhna, Prerna, and Archna are built in a way that maximizes natural light and ventilation. The building is also equipped with two large auditoriums, one of them is named after Ashok Singhal, a significant figure of the Ram Temple movement. One hall has the capacity of 463 people while another one can seat 650 attendees.
The office complex also has a library, a health clinic, accommodation facilities for RSS functionaries, and a sewage treatment plant. The energy needs of the building will be fulfilled through solar power installations on the site. Moreover, the RSS-affiliated- weeklies Organiser, Panchjanya, and Suruchi Prakashan will run from the premises. The local community will be able to access the library and the health facilities from the RSS headquarters.
