Mumbai police have arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly sending threatening messages to actor Salman Khan, according to officials. The police have arrested the lyricist of a song in Khan’s upcoming film, The Indian Express reported. They discovered that the alleged sender was Sohel Pasha, reportedly seeking publicity. The 24-year-old was arrested by the crime branch in Raichur, Karnataka, and handed over to the Worli police station.

Meanwhile, a lawyer has been arrested in Raipur by the Mumbai police over allegations of threatening to kill Shah Rukh Khan and demanding Rs 50 lakh earlier. 

The lawyer was presented in a Raipur court, which granted Mumbai police a three-day transit remand, permitting them to take the accused to Mumbai for further investigation. 

On November 7, a Mumbai police team travelled to Raipur as part of the investigation and summoned the lawyer, Faizan Khan, for questioning after it was revealed that the death threat call to a police station in Mumbai had been made using a phone number registered in his name.

On Tuesday morning, Mumbai police informed their counterparts in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, that they had arrested Faizan Khan from the Pandri police station area as part of their investigation into the threat call made to the actor, Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Santosh Singh told PTI.
