Spiritual leader Sadhguru underwent a critical brain surgery due to “life-threatening bleeding in his brain”, the Isha Foundation said in a release on Wednesday. Dr Vinit Suri from Apollo Hospitals, who led the surgery, reported that Sadhguru’s condition is progressing remarkably well.

As per an official press release, Sadhguru had been enduring severe headaches for the past four weeks but continued with his regular activities, including conducting the Maha Shivaratri function on March 8. However, on March 17, he experienced a decline in consciousness and weakness in his left leg, prompting admission to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals.

CT scans revealed significant brain swelling, necessitating immediate surgical intervention, the Isha Foundation informed. Since the surgery, Sadhguru has exhibited steady progress, with improvements in his brain function, physical condition, and vital signs, it added.

According to Dr Suri, Sadhguru’s recovery has been commendable. “Sadhguru is healing himself, apart from the best medical measures instituted by the medical team at Apollo,” Dr Suri claimed.
