Delhi Red Fort car blast: The Haryana police have seized the red Ford EcoSport with the number plate DL 10CK0456 near Khandawali village, Haryana. The Delhi police earlier alerted all police stations, posts and border checkpoints across the national capital to look out and search for a red colour Ford Eco Sport car. The alert was amid the investigation into the suspects following a blast that took place in a car near the Red Fort metro station, killing 13.

The cops said the probe so far has revealed that the suspects had another car in addition to the Hyundai i20. Five Delhi Police teams are searching for the car. The police in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have also been alerted about the red car.

This comes after PM Narendra Modi, on his arrival from Bhutan on Wednesday, met the victims of the blast at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital.

As of now, the agencies have scanned over 1,000 CCTV footage clips, which suspect that the car explosion could have been a suicide attack aimed at causing maximum damage, Delhi Police sources said.

Investigative agencies are also monitoring social media activity and collecting mobile phone dump data from several locations across Delhi, reported IANS.

High alerts have been issued across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, with security around crowded public places and religious sites enhanced.
