The police raided a “rave party” at a flat in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where thirty-nine university students, including some minors, were detained, an official revealed on Saturday.
The party was being held at the Supernova residential society in Noida Sector-39. As per the police spokesperson, the information about it was received on Friday night. A team arrived at the scene and detained 39 students from a well-known university, according to the official.
According to the police, the detained students are between the ages of 16 and 20.
The official reported that a significant number of Haryana-labelled alcohol bottles, hookahs, and other items were seized from the party.
“During interrogation, it was found that students were invited for the party on WhatsApp. The entry fee was Rs 500 per person and Rs 800 per couple,” the spokesperson said. They further said that a case has also been registered in the matter.
