Rajasthan Assembly Election Latest News: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will be initiating a nine-day march that covers 18 districts of Rajasthan to ‘enlighten’ people about the novel ‘Mission 2030’. According to an official statement, the march will start on Wednesday, September 27 and take a two-day break in honor of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.
The Congress march led by Ashok Gehlot will cover 18 districts, namely Jaipur, Sikar, Churu, Nagaur, Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Pali, Sirohi, Jalore, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, and Chittorgarh. CM Gehlot will start from Birla Auditorium in Jaipur and stop at 50 locations to hold important talks with local people, which are aimed at achieving Rajasthan’s development plan by 2030.
As per the statement, CM Gehlot is committed to knowing more about the people: “As the Yatra progresses, the emphasis will be on fostering dialogue and understanding the unique challenges faced by local communities through town halls and public gatherings.”
The official statement reports, “When Mission 2030 was launched in August 2023, the chief minister’s government invited suggestions through different modalities with an aim to incorporate the aspirations of the people into his vision to transform Rajasthan into a beacon of progress.” Around 7.4 lakh people responded through the Jan Kalyan App, a toll-free number, surveys, and a government-organized essay competition to understand people’s aspirations.
The opposition party, the BJP, has responded to the Congress yatra as a scared move after seeing the successful Parivartan yatra that started on September 2. The Parivartan Yatra commuted for around 9000 kilometers along with four BJP leaders: party president J. P. Nadda, home minister Amit Shah, defense minister Rajnath Singh, and transport minister Nitin Gadkari. BJP MLA Vasudev Devnani said “The Congress is scared of the Parivartan Yatra, which is why they are taking out this rally.”
