A Punjab court has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in connection with an alleged fraud case. The warrant was issued by Ludhiana Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur.

The case pertains to an alleged Rs 10 lakh fraud, filed by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna against Mohit Shukla, the main accused. Khanna claims he was misled into investing in a fraudulent Rijika coin scheme.

Sonu Sood was summoned to appear in court to testify but failed to do so, prompting the issuance of the arrest warrant.

The Ludhiana court has directed the Officer In-Charge of Oshiwara Police Station, Andheri West, Mumbai, to arrest Sood.

The court’s order states that Sonu Sood was duly served with summons or warrants but failed to appear, allegedly avoiding service. It instructs authorities to arrest and present him before the court.

The order further mandates that the warrant be returned by February 10, 2025, with a report on its execution or reasons for non-execution.

The next hearing is scheduled for February 10.

Days before the arrest warrant was issued, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and donated four ambulances to bolster the state’s healthcare services.

Expressing his gratitude, the Fateh actor thanked CM Naidu for his support and guidance to the Sood Charity Foundation, which continues its mission to promote better healthcare across India.

Sood shared a series of pictures on Instagram, where he was seen greeting and posing with Naidu.

“Ambulances are crucial in saving lives, and I am happy to start this journey of ensuring patients receive timely treatment by donating four ambulances to the state of Andhra Pradesh. A heartfelt thanks to @ncbn.official sir for the support and guidance as we continue our efforts in working towards a healthier India,” he captioned the post.
