Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a significant rally named ‘Prajagalam’ (the voice of the public) in Palnadu district on Sunday evening, marking the first collective public gathering of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners in Andhra Pradesh in a decade. Joining PM Modi on stage will be TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, marking the first instance where all three leaders share a platform for the 2024 elections, according to an official statement.

The event holds symbolic importance as the inaugural NDA election rally in Andhra Pradesh leading up to the simultaneous Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha polls scheduled for May 13. Janasena has described Prajagalam as a move aimed at ‘ousting detrimental politics’ for the promising future of Andhra Pradesh. The TDP, Janasena and BJP are mobilising their supporters in large numbers for this gathering.

In anticipation of the event, the TDP unveiled a special logo featuring the images of Modi, Naidu and Kalyan. The NDA partners have settled on a seat-sharing arrangement for both Lok Sabha and state polls following extensive discussions, with the BJP contesting six Lok Sabha and 10 assembly seats, while the TDP will vie for 17 parliamentary and 144 state seats, the statement mentioned.

Janasena, led by Pawan Kalyan, contested two Lok Sabha and 21 assembly seats. Naidu has already declared 128 candidates for the assembly polls, with 16 more yet to be announced. Janasena has named seven candidates thus far, with Kalyan himself contesting from the Pithapuram constituency. The BJP’s candidate list for the polls is still pending. Naidu had earlier stated that under Prime Minister Modi’s dynamic leadership, the BJP, Janasena and TDP are united in contesting the elections together, committed to Andhra Pradesh’s progress and development.

A shared schedule by the TDP outlines Modi’s itinerary, with the PM expected to arrive at Gannavaram Airport around 4:10 pm, flying in from Delhi. From there, Modi will take a helicopter to Palnadu district, reaching the meeting venue in Boppudi village by 5 pm. He will participate in the election rally from 5-6 pm, following which he will depart for Hyderabad, it added.
