Thousands of farmers across India are eagerly awaiting receiving the Rs 2,000 instalment promised under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme aimed at providing fiscal relief to farmers. As per the latest reports, the process has already begun for certain states and will continue through the month of October 2025.
The government typically releases the next instalment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana every four months. The previous instalment, the 20th, was released in August. Under this scheme, farmers are provided financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year, which is given in three instalments.
Reports suggest that the next instalment for farmers is expected to arrive by Diwali 2025, that is, in the late month of October. Farmers registered under the scheme are required to complete their eKYC process and make sure that all their documentation is up to date to avoid any delays with the payment.
