The government has announced the date for the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The next payment of Rs 2,000 will be credited to eligible farmers’ accounts on November 19 at 2 pm.

This scheme benefits farmers whose land records are registered on the PM Kisan portal, whose bank accounts are linked with their Aadhaar (UID) numbers and who have completed their e-KYC process.

Why e-KYC is important for PM Kisan beneficiaries

Completing e-KYC is mandatory for farmers to receive payments under the PM Kisan scheme. This process allows farmers to verify their identity. As per the PM Kisan website, farmers can complete their e-KYC easily through several methods, including:

-OTP-based e-KYC
-Biometric-based e-KYC
-Face authentication-based e-KYC

How to complete e-KYC

Farmers can now complete e-KYC from their mobile phones, by following below mentioned steps:

  1. Download the PM-KISAN app and the Aadhaar Face RD app from Google Play Store.
  2. Log in with your PM-KISAN registered mobile number.
  3. Go to the beneficiary status page.
  4. If your e-KYC status shows “No”, click on e-KYC, enter your Aadhaar number, and give consent to scan your face.
  5. Once the face scan is successful, your e-KYC is completed.

Note: e-KYC status will reflect in your PM Kisan account within 24 hours. Farmers can also check their status via the “Know Your Status (KYS)” feature on the PM Kisan portal or through the Kisan-eMitra app.

PM Kisan Portal: Easy access for farmers

The official portal pmkisan.gov.in provides a wide range of services for farmers. Under the “Farmers Corner”, beneficiaries can check their payment status and manage their accounts.

Farmers can also register themselves online or at their nearest CSC. Additionally, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) allows farmers to open Aadhaar-linked accounts even at home.
