Parliament Winter Session Highlights: On Day 3 of the Winter Session of Parliament, the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2023 and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2023 have been passed by Lok Sabha while the Central Universaties (Amendment) Bill 2023 have been taken up for consideration and passing.

Day 2 of the Lok Sabha proceedings featured a debate on the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2023, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2023. The inaugural day of the Winter Session on Monday witnessed the introduction and passage of two bills, accompanied by the Rajya Sabha’s decision to revoke the suspension of AAP MP Raghav Chadha. Furthermore, the Standing Committee reports on ‘The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023,’ ‘The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023,’ and ‘The Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, 2023,’ were presented in both Houses.
