In a powerful address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed India’s decisive response to the recent terrorist attacks and shared key details about the actions taken by the Indian armed forces. PM Modi said, “When Pakistan pleaded and said it would refrain from further terrorist and military provocations, India took this into consideration. But let me reiterate—we have only paused our counteroffensive on Pakistan’s terrorist and military establishments. In the days to come, we will evaluate Pakistan’s every move based on its behavior.”
The Prime Minister recounted the moment when Indian missiles and drones targeted terrorist sites in Pakistan in response to the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam. PM Modi highlighted the severity of the operation, saying, “When Indian missiles and drones attacked those sites in Pakistan, it was not just the buildings of the terrorists that were destroyed, but their courage was thrashed. Terrorists wouldn’t have dreamed that India would take such big steps.”
PM Modi also addressed the tragic incident on 22 April in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where terrorists targeted innocent civilians. “The barbarism that terrorists have shown has shaken the country and the world. Those innocent people, who were enjoying their holidays, were killed in front of their families after being asked about their religion,” PM Modi said.
His remarks emphasized India’s unwavering commitment to defending its citizens and taking robust action against terror, making it clear that India would not hesitate to act decisively when the security of its people is at stake.
The Prime Minister’s address underlined India’s resolve to stand firm in the face of terrorism, while also sending a stern message to Pakistan.
