Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath proudly supported his younger brother, Nikhil Kamath, as he released a podcast featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 2 hour long conversation covered a wide range of topics, from PM Modi’s childhood to entrepreneurship and politics. However, it was one question that Nikhil didn’t ask that caught Nithin’s attention.

Shortly after the podcast was posted on YouTube, Nithin took to LinkedIn and shared, “I had a question that Nikhil Kamath forgot to ask: What is PM Narendra Modi’s skincare routine? 😬

He added, “Jokes aside, this is epic! Nikhil started podcasting just a year ago, and now he’s interviewing our PM—that’s incredible!”

The Podcast

The podcast covered a wide range of topics, beginning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s childhood and student life, before delving into the parallels between politics and entrepreneurship. The conversation also explored the competitive nature of politics, the skills required to enter the field, and the importance of ideology and idealism in shaping political decisions.

PM Modi discussed the role of social media in politics and the concept of “Moti Chamdi,” as well as the challenges of anxiety, failures, and the ability to take risks. The impact of policy making, stepping out of one’s comfort zone, and personal relationships were also touched upon, along with the relationship between politics and money. Later, the discussion shifted to governance, global politics, and India’s standing in tech, global marketing, and geopolitics. The podcast concluded with PM Modi’s vision for the youth, reflecting on both the serious and lighter aspects of the conversation.

Reactions

A linkedin user named Pritam Chatterje commented ,”Nithin Kamath I agree: This is Too Big!! First of it’s kind in India. Many peer podcasters like Raj Shamani, Ranveer Allahbadia and even ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash have brought in Central Ministers, but The Prime Minister of India? None!!”

Another user named Ishan Sikka  wrote, “Nithin Kamath I agree, but there is a contradiction here in two school of thoughts each backed by science, i.e. Our PM only sleeps on an average of 3-4 hours and still works with absolute  productivity and with this glow on his skin haha, where as most experts in sleep medicine and research, based on numerous studies, recommend about 7-9 hours of sleep for the average adult for optimal health. “

One user named Zayn s wrote about the Prime Minister’s glow and commented, “It’s actually a very observant question. He glows.”
