In Delhi, popular locations like Hauz Khas, Connaught Place, and Lajpat Nagar saw large crowds, with tight security measures in place.
In Amritsar, residents celebrated at the Golden Temple, while hotels across various cities hosted special events. In Bhopal, people danced in the streets, and similar celebrations took place in Lucknow as the clock struck midnight.
Fireworks lit up the skies in many cities, including Mumbai, where beaches like Juhu, Chowpatty, and Versova were packed with revelers. Marine Drive also became a hotspot for enjoying the displays. In Himachal Pradesh’s Manali, tourists and locals danced in the streets, while West Bengal saw people celebrating with lights from their mobile phones. Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala was aglow with fireworks, and in Visakhapatnam, people cut cakes to mark the New Year. In Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, percussion music filled the streets, while Chennai witnessed massive crowds celebrating the start of 2025.
