Diagnostic instrument specialist Riester has introduced its new All Pupil II headband-mounted indirect ophthalmoscope to the India market.
The All Pupil II has a number of features designed for ease of use and diagnostic versatility, including comfort features that help to combat fatigue during long periods of use. In addition, all the mechanical adjustments have been designed so that setting up the instrument and ?fine tuning? during use is quick and easy.
Weighing only 420g for the wired version and 520g for the wireless version, including the lithium battery pack, this comfortably balanced instrument has a rigid but lightweight anodised aluminium brow bar that matches the shape of the head. A contoured, fully padded adjustable headband evenly distributes the instrument?s weight.
High specification, market-leading Keeler optics deliver sharp retinal images. Illumination can be as bright as 2000 lux for difficult examinations, and is continuously adjustable from maximum down to 2%.
Changing aperture size to view through all pupil sizes down to 2mm diameter is simply controlled via a single lever; mirror adjustment is continuous through 360?. The optics include infrared and UV safety filtration and an integral red-free filter ensures good definition of blood vessels.
This new model covers the widest and narrowest inter-pupillary distances with an adjustment range of 47-75mm. An expanded field of view can be selected using a built-in wide-angle diffuser. This delivers bright, full lens images but with less critical alignment, and can also assist in difficult peripheral examinations.
The All Pupil II is available in several different versions. A wall attachment and cable connected power supply is offered for stationary use; a high performance battery pack is attached to the belt for mobile use; or a wireless version is available for absolute freedom using a Li-ion battery pack fitted to the rear of the brow band.
