Haryana government formation: Nayab Singh Saini is likely to be sworn in as Haryana Chief Minister in Panchkula on October 15. The ceremony is likely to have Prime Minister Narendra Modi attend it.
Though the state government has issued an official letter mentioning the date and venue of the event, a close aide of Saini told The Indian Express that they are still awaiting confirmation on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s availability.
The state government has formed a 10-member committee of officers under the chairmanship of the Panchkula deputy commissioner to oversee the arrangements of the swearing-in ceremony.

In an official order issued on Thursday, Chief Secretary T V S N Prasad said that the additional deputy commissioner and municipal commissioner of Panchkula will also be members of the committee.
A close associate of Saini said that a few ministers will also take oath along with the chief minister. He also said that apart from Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states will also participate in the event, IE reported.
According to reports, the BJP had indicated during the elections that Saini, who replaced Manohar Lal Khattar as chief minister in March, will be its choice for the top post if it wins.

The BJP secured a historic third term in Haryana, winning 48 seats and halting a Congress comeback in the state after a decade. The Congress won 37 seats, Independents won 3 and the INLD won two seats.
Three Independent MLAs, including India’s richest woman Savitri Jindal, have also announced their support to the BJP.
